Tracks

Image by Sophie – without knowing Sophie was drawing this while I was writing the poem.

At times I like the open way; where all tracks are clear.

At other times I want to know Gaia holds me near.

Then there are times when paths are closed

and my way’s not what I supposed;

those days discovery’s the way

to make it through the trackless day.

For though tracks give a life of ease

where we can saunter as we please

always there’s signposts everywhere

directing us to who knows where.

It’s trackless ways at end of day

that mean we walk life our own way.

So though our lives paths may be clear

we should wild walk without a fear.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
