Cherish this day

I weep for my children and so many more

as inglorious leaders demand one more war.

They chomp at the bit to start yet again;

do these bastards live just for our pain?

We do as we’re told, for them we’ll bleed

and offer as well our own futures seed.

Brought then into this life, so soon away;

they’re time is short so cherish this day.
