A short ditty

just a short ditty meant to say
how this old bloke feels today
as my mood goes down at times
I like to write my silly rhymes
it helps me know just what is real
and understand the things I feel
so please excuse my rambling odes
‘cos this is how I shed life’s loads
sometimes their burden is so high
I feel like I might surely die
unless I shed them, so I write
then, suddenly, my burden’s light
so just see this as me unpacking
and on the world my load I’m stacking
‘cos burdens shared are half as hard
to carry for this strange old bard
who’s somehow crept into my mind
to see what strange things he can find
and foist upon the world so great
with love I hope and not with hate

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
