Black & White

In a colourless world of black and white
where all things are seen as wrong or right
where “I’m always right and you are wrong”
is the rhythm behind almost every song.
Where there is no colour, there is no truth,
nothing that will inspire society’s youth
to walk on those paths less often trod;
the paths that can take us closer to God.
Paths where the wonders of life are seen
by folk with hearts brave, eyes ever keen
they see the real beauty in rock and tree;
we diminish those souls who could be free.
From the simple need to always be right
we cast ourselves into perpetual night.
For out in the light where colour does reign
we fear that the beauty will drive us insane.
Out where the beauty of Gaia does call
for the fall of power – the Unity of all.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
