Where I Would Rest

I’ve wandered down so many paths, some even into light;
but mostly I’ve just staggered round in the darkest night.
I know that there is sunshine and wisdom to be found
and on the quest to find some this old man now is bound.
But if I should die without it please scatter me up high
where each and every morning I can embrace Dawn’s sky.
The beauty and the wisdom that in those colours glows
speaks to me of great wisdom and energy that flows.
High upon my mountain top I’ll watch the world below
and slowly find the answers I really want to know.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
