Today I took a Journey,
if only in my mind
to find a place of beauty;
easy and hard to find.
I looked out at the people
all rushing to and fro
with no destination;
with nowhere real to go.
I looked at our society
with so few gentle hearts
I looked out at our cities;
all function and no arts.
But then I saw the beauty
scattered thin over all;
a frail and gentle wonder
I knew could never fall.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
