Sanity’s Search

Mental health; a state of mind

but at times it’s hard to find.

Though we always know it’s there

sometimes we just don’t know where.

So in our search we can go wrong

and travel where we don’t belong.

Finding demons inside our head;

finding reasons to be dead.

Finding pills might make us well

but often they have their own hell.

To find the path without a guide

leads us astray; the answers hide.

That can be the roughest road

bent low by illnesses load.

There is a path, but it’s through pain;

the journey back to being sane.

The way is there but tread with care

‘cos sanity’s alive out there.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
