That Mindful Place

The here and now is where I sit;

the perfect place to rest a bit.

A place where trouble can’t get in;

there is no Sainthood – there’s no sin.

A place where thoughts can pass me by;

I watch them with dispassionate eye

as freed from fears both old and new

I can just ‘be’ instead of do.

This is a place to take some rest;

a refuge from life’s daily test.

A Mindful place, to simply be

the person who is really me.

    I should print this out and paste it in the room I meditate! Can I? 🙂
