No Other Way

Well, Trooper boys all blue and bright

Defend the rich, defend their ‘right’.

They haven’t changed since days gone by

when they caused that hero Ned to die.

Still they march proud with weapons cruel

and treat each of us like one more fool.

‘Submit or die’ their only code,

or else it’s simply ‘lock and load’.

There’s few of them could meet the eye

of that humble Greenie who will try

to help the earth, to help the soil.

Those simple folk who work and toil

to save the earth, a single tree;

the life on earth their joy to see

while clear of heart and strong of mind

to Gaia’s beauty they do bind

for comfort at the end of day,

for truly there’s no other way.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
