Men Don’t Cry

“Men don’t cry” I hear them say

but, deep down tears flow anyway.

Our Spirit weeps though we may not

for joy and pain are still our lot.

But pain that weeps within the soul

builds a wall ‘gainst being whole.

There’s wisdom in a single tear

that overwhelms the deepest fear.

Like Yin and Yang are joy and pain;

we need them both to keep us sane.

So tears of pain and tears  joy

can make a man out of a boy.

Each tear that falls from one mans eyes

helps to heal the ‘manhood’ lies.

So shed a tear for manhoods sake;

to undo the harm we need a lake!

A lake of tears – a soothing balm;

a warm embrace to heal our harm.

Then we can bathe in joy and bliss;

we’ll find the manhood we all miss.
