I Knew a Man

I knew a man who knew a man who always said he knew
where the winds were coming from and just which way they blew.
He knew what made the Heavens and why the sky was blue;
he promised if I wrote these words then he would tell me too.
So now I sit and wonder if all his tales were tall or true;
I think that it was bullshit ‘cos my wisdom never grew.

About a foolhardy florilegium
