The Glory Ride (to Hell)

“We hope there can be peace” he said “but first there must be killing.”

The very message in those words, to my old heart were chilling.

He said that “we can all agree if we first crush the Revolution”

but somehow that just didn’t seem a very sane solution.

“Entire nations first must fall for our world to function;

we will simply wipe them out, with no real compunction.”

“We’ll bomb them to the Stone Age; cripple fledgling nations

and we’ll do the bloody lot with no procrastinations.”

“For our way is the just way; the future for the whole place

and not to bomb the bastards down will be to our disgrace.”

“The whole wide world will look at us and say that we’re not caring

‘cos we all know we show that through bombing, not through sharing.”

“A world where we can’t dominate, will never really freedom know

and so we must now sally forth and strike a freedom blow

against the Rabid hordes who hinder us in all our for glory

and try to overwrite the truth that is our free nation’s story.”

“So we’ll bomb them to oblivion; make sure we do a good job.”

“We’ll show them just what happens when you mess with our mob!

“Righteousness is on our side; the good lord walks alongside

so follow on the madness flag – we’re on the Glory Ride.”

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
