The places I’ve been,
the worlds I’ve seen,
the folks I’ve known,
the heights I’ve flown.
Make me the man I am today
and who I’ve been along the way.
Loves gained and lost,
the wins and cost,
the hearts I’ve felt,
the cards I’m dealt.
Fill my heart and mind today
and I’d have it no other way!
Die tomorrow,
years in sorrow,
joys unending,
old back bending.
The love of life without ending,
that’s a thing worth defending.
Flight from or to,
there’s something new;
the joy and pain,
it’s all insane.
The words that fill the thinking mind;
thoughts of cruelty, thoughts so kind.
There’s much unseen
where I’ve not been
and friends unknown
where I’ve not grown.
A world so wide, so much unseen;
there’s places in my mind so green.
It’s incomplete
this world; my seat.
The crowning glory;
my life’s story.
How will I write the final verse?
Is death a blessing or a curse?
Hello cruel world, I’m here to join this circus.
