Let them be!

You Mountain Cattlemen ride so high
in lands that almost touch the sky.
Like Lords of old, it’s your domain?
Ruled over for financial gain.
The land up here is Gods own soil
and it makes my Green blood boil
to see your cattle trample it,
then layer it with seed filled shit
This land that once was Gods own place
is becoming an overgrown disgrace
with weeds brought in by horse and cow.
So “Go away!” and I mean now;
let those sweet meadows re-find their way
without the addition of weeds and hay
and trampling from bovine hoof
while you sit up there all aloof.
You’ve made a fortune from those Plains
so scurry off with you ill-gotten gains .
It’s their time and right to prosper now;
you’re welcome without horse and cow.
If you love these mountains like you say
give them a change, take your cows away!

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
