So Many

So many years and so many lifetimes,
so many forests now burned to the ground.
So much of Gaia now turned into graveyards,
so many places where nature did wildly abound.
So many people all waving their banners.
so many people making their protest sound.
So many places still earmarked for destruction,
in this world where death can so often be found.
