The over-educated rich with all that they know
never seem to find the time to watch the river flow.
All they ever want is a big pile of ‘stuff’;
we live in a world of “I’ve never got enough.”
While the wealth of one nation could feed everyone
the wealthy sit on piles to show they have ‘won’.
If change isn’t coming and coming very soon
I think this planet will reach its own High Noon.
But the river flows on and it will do tomorrow;
we live on borrowed time with no more to borrow.
