At times I grow, at times I shrink
and then I walk my path and think
“I know where life will now lead.”
It geminates, that tiny seed
and blossoms forth, bears fruit unknown;
“this isn’t what I thought I’d sown.”
so now when I greet a brand new day
I look around and guess which way
my life will take me; what’s in store.
Will it be different or just more.
The here and now is all that’s true;
all else is something old or new.
I wonder where I am tomorrow;
it will bring joy and maybe sorrow.
