Down The Road

As I gaze upon the vista of the place I’ve found today,
I know I walked through piles of shit as I found the way.
The destinations worth the journey; the vista I behold
is worth a thousand pirates chests, all aflow with gold.
So when you do ‘the hard yard’ remember there’s an end
and if you keep on going, it could be just round the bend.
As you hike along some byway, one thing is always true;
whatever’s round that next bend, will be a vista new.
Forget the trail behind you, just focus on the track.
there’s never any value in always looking back.
Forget the pack you carry; it’s called ‘should’ring your load’
and focus on what matters – whatever’s down the road.
