The Lyrebird And The Firebird

A Lyrebird met a Firebird whose tail was all ablaze
and both looked at the others tail; a thing that did amaze.
Said the Lyrebird to the Firebird “Your tail is all afire”.
Said the Firebird to the Lyrebird “and yours looks like a Lyre”.
Then each bird sang their special song, the music of their soul
and each one loved the sound they heard; it made them feel more whole.
Said the Lyrebird to the Firebird “Your music’s full of heat”.
Said the Firebird to the Lyrebird “and your music’s so sweet”.
Each bird went their own way then, but each remembers clear,
that though they may be different inside they are quite near.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
