The Earth’s Embrace

Discordant cacophony
grating at my soul.
The eternal twilight;
life in the city.
Where are the flows?
Natures rhythms –
trees softly swaying
over rippling creeks
while crickets add treble
to the Lire Birds song;
my souls music.
Bright light city;
you spiritless land.
Societies cancer;
the Urban Sprawl.
The growing death;
eternal wasteland.
Release to the Earth;
deaths final reprieve.
To embrace the Earth
must I die?
Earth to Earth
Ashes to Ashes.

About a foolhardy florilegium

Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes.
